South Fayette and Chartiers Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lions will welcome the Colts at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. South Fayette will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when South Fayette duked it out with Upper St. Clair on Monday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Chartiers Valley and West Allegheny, and West Allegheny kept the tradition alive. The Colts fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Lily Duffill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

South Fayette pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Chartiers Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

South Fayette was able to grind out a solid victory over Chartiers Valley in their previous meeting on Tuesday, winning 9-5. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
