Baseball Recap: Staples-Motley Takes a Loss

Staples-Motley lost against Frazee back in April of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell 9-6 to the Hornets.

Kris Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Tappe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Staples-Motley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Frazee, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staples-Motley will venture away from home to take on Perham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frazee, they will challenge Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
