Softball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield and Hartford squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Springfield had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 13-1. The match marked the Cosmos' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Springfield is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. As for Hartford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hartford, they will take on Otter Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Otters will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight.
