Basketball Recap: Monahans Gets the Win

Monahans won against Alpine last Friday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Monahans Loboes walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Lake View Chiefs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 35-32 back in November.

The win made it two in a row for Monahans and bumps their season record up to 9-12. As for Lake View, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Monahans and Presidio will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Presidio's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Monahans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake View, they will head out to face off against Greenwood at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
