While Gallatin's win against Mount Juliet wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Green Wave sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Golden Bears on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Gallatin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11.

Sarah Grace Slusher paced Gallatin's offense, picking up 21 kills. Slusher got some help from Gracie Hibdon and her 27 assists. Hibdon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Molly Rooks, racking up two apiece.

Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Annabella Brewer, who had 11 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Brookelynn Aldridge, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Gallatin's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Mount Juliet, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Gallatin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Page on the 19th. As for Mount Juliet, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Harpeth Hall on the 19th.
