Volleyball Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was the 2-1 winner over McPherson when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders fell just short of the Bullpups by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Wellington sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-19.

Dru Zeka paced Wellington's offense, picking up 16 kills. Zeka got some help from Addy Schnelle and her 17 assists.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for McPherson, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-6-1.

Wellington has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Buhler on the 14th. McPherson has also already played their next contest (against Winfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
