Mountain View won the last time they faced Workman and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Vikings blew past the Lobos 49-21. With the Vikings ahead  35-14 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 Everardo Nunez went supernova, rushing for 140 yards and five  touchdowns on only 11 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Omar Nombrano, who rushed for 49 yards and a pair of  TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain View was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 249  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Workman only  rushed for 51  rushing yards.
 Workman's loss  came despite strong showings from  Jeremiah Leake and  Vladimir Perez.  Leake picked up 140 receiving yards and three  scores, while  Perez threw for 164 yards and three  touchdowns.
Mountain View has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 27 points thus far. As for Workman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Mountain View has already played their next matchup,  a  55-8  defeat against Garey on the 5th. As for Workman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  70-0  loss against Canyon Springs on the 4th.
