Football Recap: Mountain View's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Workman wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mountain View, they should've done a better job of containing Everardo Nunez. The Vikings claimed a resounding 49-21 win over the Lobos thanks in part to Nunez, who rushed for 140 yards and five touchdowns on only 11 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Mountain View has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 48.0 points this season. As for Workman, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will venture away from home to take on Garey at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Workman, they will head out to square off against Canyon Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
