Soccer Recap: Towanda Comes Up Short

Towanda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Galeton Tigers. Towanda were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Galeton earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Towanda's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Galeton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Towanda has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Athens on the 1st. As for Galeton, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Northern Potter on the 30th.
