Wabaunsee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 23 straight wins... but they left with 24. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Council Grove Braves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wabaunsee took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14.

Talen Orton paced Wabaunsee's offense, picking up eight kills. Orton got some help from Reese Michaelis and her 13 assists. Michaelis and Orton didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Wabaunsee's win bumped their record up to 30-5. As for Council Grove, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-28.

Looking ahead, Wabaunsee will venture away from home to take on Rural Vista [Hope/White City] at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Council Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
