There's no place like home for Sierra Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Azusa Aztecs by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dons as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Zepeda, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Chanelo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sierra Vista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Sierra Vista's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Azusa, they moved to 6-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Sierra Vista and Azusa will both be playing Garey the next time they take the field. The Aztecs will host the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Dons will host them at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
