Football Recap: St. Mary Takes a Loss

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils. The Gaels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wood-Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Mary will take on rival Bogota at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Wood-Ridge is set to square off against their familiar foe Weehawken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
