Volleyball Recap: Russia's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Russia hadn't done well against Marion Local recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Flyers. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on four straight.

While Russia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-23, 25-13.

Russia can attribute much of their success to Kourtney Phlipot, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Phlipot has posted over her last six matchups.

Russia's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Marion Local, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Coming up, Russia will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Houston at 6:30 p.m. As for Marion Local, they will venture away from home to face off against New Knoxville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
