Jayde Riley leads Coral Springs Charter to victory over North Broward Prep

The Coral Springs Charter Panthers lost to the North Broward Prep Eagles back in December of 2022, but the Coral Springs Charter Panthers didn't allow the North Broward Prep Eagles the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Coral Springs Charter snuck past North Broward Prep with a 37-33 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coral Springs Charter.

Jayde Riley was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Ariana Irizarry was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

ysamar pimentel and Alexa Schwartz certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. pimentel dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Schwartz scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Makena Longo, who scored six points along with five steals.

Even though they lost, North Broward Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Coral Springs Charter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for North Broward Prep, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coral Springs Charter will take on Cypress Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Bay will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. North Broward Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Benjamin at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Benjamin has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 25.
