Volleyball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Takes a Loss

Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Althoff Catholic Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-14.

Metro-East Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Althoff Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-7 record this season.

Metro-East Lutheran and Althoff Catholic are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will take on Maryville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Althoff Catholic, they are taking a road trip to square off against Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
