Volleyball Preview: Glenbrook North Spartans vs. Deerfield Warriors

The Glenbrook North Spartans will square off against the Deerfield Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Glenbrook North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: New Trier, who was ranked 18th at the time (Glenbrook North was ranked 11th). The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Trevians on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Glenbrook North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-15, 26-24.
