Basketball Recap: Bellevue Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Bellevue, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They secured a 55-51 W over the Liberty Patriots on Wednesday. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Patriots are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bellevue to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dilynn Johnson, who went 7 of 17 en route to 25 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Johnson is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Trinity Palmer-Wilson was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Bellevue pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Liberty, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.

Bellevue wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-50 win against Juanita on the 10th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-34 victory against Inglemoor on the 10th.
