Soccer Game Preview: Lowry vs. Elko

The Lowry Buckaroos will venture away from home to square off against the Elko Indians at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Lowry is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against West Wendover on Friday. The Buckaroos fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Elko came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1.

Lowry has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 2-9-3 record this season. As for Elko, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-3.

Lowry suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Elko in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Buckaroos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
