Basketball Recap: Calvert Hall Starts off Right with Win over Rosedale Christian Academy

Calvert Hall took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 93-67 margin over the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Rosedale Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Rosedale Christian Academy lost, don't look at Keyon Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Mercer, who went 8-for-12 en route to 16 points and eight boards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert Hall will host New Hope Academy Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, they will face off against Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
