East Chicago Central's game  last Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gary West Side Cougars with a sharp  3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10,  25-11.
 Lela Edmonds paced East Chicago Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Edmonds got some help from  Jaslene Guido and her five assists. Guido also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Zabdi Ortiz-Romero, racking up four apiece.
