Baseball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Christian Heritage Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell 4-0 to the Grace Christian Warriors. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Gavin Hodges was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Christian Heritage Academy fell to 6-1. As for Grace Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage Academy will challenge North Cross at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grace Christian, they will head out to face off against Regents at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 14 runs per game this season.
