Football Game Preview: Concord Raiders vs. Newark Yellowjackets

Concord and Newark are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Raiders will face off against the Yellowjackets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Concord will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Concord proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 41) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past McKean 16-13.

Meanwhile, Newark owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They walked away with a 12-0 win over Wilmington Charter. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Force recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Concord's win bumped their record up to 6-0-1. As for Newark, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Concord couldn't quite get it done against Newark in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 14-6. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
