Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clinton last Friday, Mt. Vernon came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the North Scott Lancers on Wednesday, falling 4-0.

Mt. Vernon's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-8-4. As for North Scott, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8-3.

Mt. Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Scott, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against East Buchanan on the 30th.
