Soccer Recap: Manual Comes Up Short

Manual was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Centennial Chargers. While losing is never fun, Manual can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Centennial are ranked 153rd).

Manual's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 10-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manual will head out to take on Beardstown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Centennial, they will venture away from home to challenge Mahomet-Seymour at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Centennial's defense better be ready for this one: Mahomet-Seymour have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season.
