Basketball Game Preview: Sequim Wolves vs. Bainbridge Spartans

Sequim hasn't had much luck against Bainbridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sequim Wolves will square off against the Bainbridge Spartans at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Sequim's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Sequim came out on top. They strolled past North Mason with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-48. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over the Roughriders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since December 17, 2024.

Sequim's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Bainbridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Everything went Sequim's way against Bainbridge when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Sequim made off with a 69-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sequim since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
