Volleyball Recap: Bountiful Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Skyridge

Bountiful faced Skyridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Redhawks came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Bountiful's offense was headlined by Paisley Gosney and Milika Satuala, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Adelaide Stevenson and her 16 assists. Gosney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Estelle Slaney was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and three aces. Emmie Mahe also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Bountiful and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Skyridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-2.

Bountiful wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Viewmont on the 7th. As for Skyridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Green Canyon on the 4th.
