Football Recap: Royal Palm Beach Comes Up Short

Royal Palm Beach dropped to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a blow against the West Boca Raton Bulls, falling 31-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Royal Palm Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Demetrice Rolle and Rauol Brown.

As for West Boca Raton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Considering they have won six matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Boca Raton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quinton Miller Jr., who rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Miller Jr. showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Moran, who rushed for 91 yards and one score on only five carries.

Coming up, Royal Palm Beach will square off against Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Boca Raton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 872 yards in their previous games.
