Softball Recap: Nettleton Has No Trouble Against Winona

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nettleton walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Winona on Friday. Considering Nettleton has won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Savannah Harlow, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Bates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Nettleton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive matches.

Nettleton's victory bumped their record up to 26-3-1. As for Winona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14.

Nettleton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Choctaw County on the 1st. Winona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
