Volleyball Recap: Springville Has No Trouble Against Timpview

Springville barely beat Timpview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Springville Red Devils' way against the Timpview Thunderbirds on Thursday as the Springville Red Devils made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.

Springville's offense was headlined by Nephi Spendlove and Marshall Patterson, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Reis Brothers and his 28 assists. Patterson and Brothers didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

The win made it two in a row for Springville and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. As for Timpview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springville will venture away from home to take on Varsity Opponent at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Timpview, they will head out on the road to square off against Orem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
