Section 9 C-II recap October 22, 2013
Sullivan West moved up to 328 from 388 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 9 C-II. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping O'Neill 26-25.
Millbrook added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Dover, 50-18. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Chris Carolei made the biggest impact on defense this week as Millbrook bested the Dragons. The 6-foot-3 junior recorded 1 fumble.
Justin Swarthout provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Tri-Valley lost to Liberty.
Reggie Colley and Henry Cardinal gave Sean Keenan's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Colley threw for 89 yards and 1 touchdown, while Cardinal ran for 201 yards. Joe Daley also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
The Indians' Quinn Jackson and Patrick Fitzpatrick led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Jackson has thrown for 437 yards this season, while Fitzpatrick has 10 catches for 184 yards. Cardinal from the Blazers leads the league in rushing with 1,207 yards.
The Bears are in fourth place, while Sullivan West is in third place.
Ron Bauer's team and the Raiders played the closest game in Section 9 C-II this week, with Ron Bauer's team eventually emerging with a 26-25 victory. Richard Shevak threw for 90 yards and ran for 88 yards during the win.
