Volleyball Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 1st.

Lodi took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 15-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Lodi's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Lincoln, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13.

Lodi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Kimball on the 22nd. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against St. Mary's on the 22nd.
