Baseball Recap: Adams' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Adams waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Seagoville Dragons 18-8. 18 seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Emilio Wong, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ortiz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Adams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in five consecutive games.

Adams' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Seagoville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11-1.
