Baseball Game Preview: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. Roselle Park Panthers

The Bound Brook Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Roselle Park Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bound Brook is looking for their season's first victory.

Bound Brook is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keansburg on Monday.

Ryan Cunha put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Aiden Boehm made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Julian Chacon, who earned one run and four stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Roselle Park got the win against Dickinson on Saturday by a conclusive 17-1.

Bound Brook's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Roselle Park, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Bound Brook got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 against Roselle Park by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
