Recap: Faith Christian Eagles vs. New Life Camp Storm
If the Faith Christian Eagles were feeling good off their 57-31 takedown of the Tabernacle Christian Ram on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Faith Christian and New Life Camp wasn't particularly close, with Faith Christian falling 63-47.
Leading New Life Camp to victory were Hannah Brown and Julia Edwards. Brown scored 21 points, while Edwards scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Katie Hime was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Faith Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for New Life Camp, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Faith Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wilmington Christian Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 6th. Wilmington Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Faith Christian is ranked 131st). As for New Life Camp, they will play host again and welcome Cary Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
