Baseball Recap: O'Dea Takes a Loss

O'Dea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Lakeside Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 last Monday.

O'Dea's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lakeside, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. O'Dea is set to square off against their familiar foe West Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakeside will take on rival Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lakeside 3.2, Roosevelt 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
