Chesterton had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Valparaiso Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 2nd.

One reason for the win was Chesterton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Ryliegh Connor, who had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matchups.

Lily Simpson and Sophia Carlson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Simpson had 16 digs and three assists, while Carlson had five digs and one assist. Simpson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Chesterton's record now sits at 24-3. As for Valparaiso, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.

Chesterton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Crown Point on the 30th. As for Valparaiso, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Merrillville on the 30th.
