Baseball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

The Manchester Blue Devils lost 15-5 to the Marion County Eagles on Thursday.

Manchester saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Markevious Key, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave Key a new career-high in stolen bases. Kaleb Gay also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Manchester dropped their record down to 1-4-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Marion County, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5-1.

Coming up, Manchester will venture away from home to take on Lafayette Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion County, they will take on Upson-Lee at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
