Football Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Terra Nova Tigers
Jefferson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Terra Nova Tigers at home by a 24-6 margin on Friday. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Zachary Perez was nothing short of spectacular for Terra Nova: he rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown. Perez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (1.5 for loss) in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
