Softball Recap: Trigg County Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Trigg County's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Caldwell County Tigers on Monday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Trigg County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Hendricks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Hendricks' first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Trigg County and nudges their season record down to 16-10. As for Caldwell County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Trigg County will take on Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caldwell County, they will face off against Mayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
