Soccer Game Preview: Hopewell vs. Dinwiddie

Hopewell hasn't had much luck against Dinwiddie recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home pitch against the Generals at 7:00 p.m. Hopewell's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hopewell is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Petersburg on Tuesday. Neither the Blue Devils nor the Crimson Wave could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Dinwiddie had to settle for a 3-2 loss against Colonial Heights on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Dinwiddie in their meetings with Colonial Heights: they've now lost three in a row.

With that draw, Hopewell's record moves to 4-2-1. As for Dinwiddie, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
