Lakes and Round Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Eagles will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lakes is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Monday. They came up short against Johnsburg, falling 54-31. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Skyhawks are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Round Lake lost 58-36 to Grayslake Central on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

Round Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Lakes didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Round Lake in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory.
