Recap: Lee Generals vs. Chilhowie Warriors

The Lee Generals pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-59 to Chilhowie. While losing is never fun, Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Chilhowie is ranked 174th).

When it comes to explaining why Lee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brynnen Pendergraft. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Pendergraft, who scored 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lee and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Chilhowie, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Lee will be playing at home against Central Wise at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chilhowie's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northwood at 8:00 p.m. on January 5th.
