Volleyball Recap: Dover Falls Short Against Ranked Nashua North

Dover faced Nashua North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Green Wave fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Titans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dover came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 16-25, 12-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Dover saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jovie Meeker had 26 digs and eight assists. Those 26 digs set a new season-high mark for Meeker.

The defeat snapped Dover's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-4 record. As for Nashua North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Dover has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Bishop Guertin on the 20th. As for Nashua North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Spaulding on the 20th.
