Basketball Recap: Rose Hill Comes Up Short

Rose Hill lost against Wellington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rose Hill Rockets were dealt a 74-45 loss at the hands of the Wellington Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Crusaders are ranked 89th).

Rose Hill dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Wellington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rose Hill will host El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rose Hill is facing El Dorado at the right time seeing as El Dorado is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wellington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. Wellington will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Clearwater will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's game.
