Baseball Recap: Terry Takes a Loss

Terry lost against Brookhaven back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Terry Bulldogs fell just short of the Brookhaven Panthers by a score of 7-6.

Jacarius Wilson put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Wilson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Wilson wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Terry dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terry will square off against Ridgeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookhaven, they will take on Pearl at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
