Baseball Game Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Spanish River Sharks

The St. Brendan Sabres will head out on the road to face off against the Spanish River Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Brendan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Spanish River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Wednesday, St. Brendan came up short against Schoolhouse Prep and fell 5-2.

St. Brendan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Alvarez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Spanish River hadn't done well against Park Vista recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Spanish River sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Park Vista.

St. Brendan's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Spanish River, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-6.
