Basketball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Mesa Ridge Grizzlies
If Lewis-Palmer was feeling good fresh off their 73-41 takedown of Coronado last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lewis-Palmer Rangers were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 48-47 to the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies. The Rangers were up 25-11 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Lewis-Palmer's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonas Miller, who posted seven points along with six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lowe, who had six points and nine rebounds.
Bryce Riehl was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine steals for Mesa Ridge. Riehl's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jaxon Auger was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.
