Volleyball Recap: River Ridge Has No Trouble Against Belmont

River Ridge lost to Belmont back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Braves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Timberwolves have posted against the Braves since September 22, 2022.

While River Ridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-20.

Erin Adrian paced River Ridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Adrian got some help from Mallory Crubel and her 25 assists. Adrian was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win got River Ridge back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, River Ridge is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Shullsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belmont, they will face off against Barneveld at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
