Basketball Recap: Carson's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Carson played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They skirted past the Galena Grizzlies 48-46. The victory was some much needed relief for the Senators as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Galena lost, don't look at Zakery Smrt. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stone Rasmussen, who posted six points and five boards.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Galena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Carson will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Manogue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Galena, they will venture away from home to square off against Reed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reed is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
