Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Nansemond River Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Saints not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The win didn't come easy: Nansemond River scored at least 22 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Campbell Spencer paced Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Spencer got some help from Jossy Byars and her 14 assists. Finally, Haley Scribner kept Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Nansemond River, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
